So it turns out the behind seat sub cabinet doesn’t work with the SONY Amp in place (which is required for the PAC audio system). Instead I’m going to give up my under rear seat space and put in a custom cabinet with two 12” drivers, and the JL Audio amps will go behind the seat. Pro is better bass, cost is in cab storage.

Here is a MTI behind the rear seat jl 13tw5v2 setup. I dont have a pic of the correct size box, I dont have my truck right now. But the installed pic is an idea how it looks with the small box. The correct size goes across the whole back.
Looking good. I’ll be doing the same thing in January while I’m out of country. Excited to see all of the trials and tribulations that happen thru the build. I’m kind of like you as I didn’t want to go below the seats. But I’m going too. Please keep me up to speed.
Happy to do it. I went with the JL Audio Stealthbox (over the MTI enclosures) https://mtiacoustics.com/#FSERIES because I doubt there is a significant sound difference for the money, and the look of the MTI enclosures (Stage 2-4) were not to my taste. Carpeted and low-key (Stage I vs. JL Audio Stealthbox) was more my speed ....I went Stealthbox because it’s designed specifically for the TW3 12” X2 and that’s all the bass I would want. But MTI might be just the right thing for someone else who wants a bit more bling or driver choice

Frankly not sure of all the details as I’m not installing it myself. The VXi amps are very efficient Class D with onboard DSP I believe obviating the need for capacitors. I already have Odyssey Extreme AGM batteries so no change there. I don’t think there is a need for any fuse changes. Not sure of the gauge of power wires they ran.

JL Fathom F-112
You cant go wrong with JL.
After purchasing this JL sub for my home audio, i will never trust my bass to any other company.
Hear one of these subs and you will then know why.
The fit and finish of JLs enclosures are top notch.
