Question regarding blown plug on V10
$885 is steep. I had an independent shop install a Time Cert for $200 bucks when my L blew a plug.

PS - You already know about the helicoil. I've been posting about them being wrong for this application from a time before FTE. Helicoil has never been the correct choice for this application.
I called Lock 'n Stitch and they advised me that the amount of time necessary "for someone who wrenches for a living" to be "4-6 hours per spark plug hole." So it appears my local Ford dealer is pegging the labor at six hours. I had considered having my diesel mechanic do all 10 spark plug holes* instead of the dealer until Lock 'n Stitch advised me of the 4-6 hours per hole (my diesel mechanic doesn't want to take the responsibility for a spark plug blowing out if he only replaces the spark plugs however my thinking was if all 10 holes had the Lock 'n Stitch remedy then the chances of 'improper torque leading to blown out spark plug' wouldn't be such an issue - BTW it was a Motorcraft spark plug that got blown out...with this Ex having five previous owners I'm thinking that one of the original factory installed spark plugs blew [this Ex had a load of deferred maintenance when I bought it three years ago so the spark plugs were probably the original spark plugs], so much for the notion that 'only improperly torqued spark plugs blow out').
The net result is that I'm having the dealer repair only the one blown out spark plug hole and replace the rest of the spark plugs (they warranty all work against spark plug blow outs for two years unlimited mileage).
*$8,000 will go along with towards my goal of dropping in a 6.7 Cummins. I'm hoping for no more blown out spark plugs, now the 4WD Ex will get all new spark plugs from the dealer with a two year warranty against blowing out - that should get me to the other side of the 6.7 Cummins conversion.

I had to buy a couple new tools... But, you can never have enough tools!
—Bore Scope (Can easily check for strept throat in my sons now!) 🤣
—An air ratchet
If you have any acumen with light wrenching... it is easily done ✅. If it’s on youtube and I have the correct tools... anything can be done! I’m a retired PE teacher and it took me about an hour... Even with my crazy OCD!
I've been fortunate that I haven't had any trouble with blowouts, but I'm glad to know that it's not that big a job. I just hope that I'm not hundreds of miles from home if/when I need to know this!
