So I replaced my booster and master cylinder a few weeks ago. All is well with the braking system but dang... the top to this MC leaks like crazy. From the front, back, and side. The top seems to be on tight and i even tried making a gasket out of 1/16 and it's STILL leaking. What in the actual F.

I feel your pain. I made a spacer out of heater hose that goes between the wire and lid for extra gasket tension - still leaks.
First, make sure the wire bail clamps the cap tightly at both ends. I had to bend the wire slightly at one end to increase the clamping force.
I also found the top edge of the new MC body was rusty and pitted. To clean this up, I emptied the reservoirs with an old turkey baster. I stuffed them full of crumpled paper towels, lightly dampened with brake fluid to catch any crud. I wrapped some 100 grit sandpaper around a flat scrap of particle board and went to town. Carefully remove the paper towels, wipe the reservoirs clean, and make sure you didn't leave any crud behind.

Worked great, no more leaks.
Thanks for the suggestions. I will put this my to do list, as soon as my axle shafts, knuckles, spindles, hubs, and tires make it back on the front end. I do know the MC gasket surface looks pretty pitiful. I have a new spare MC that looks better but didn't want to go through the trouble of swapping it in. One would think this should not be a hard seal to execute.
Alright I bent that coat hanger retainer thingy up and made it way tighter. Also tried to make sure the cap was centered on the gasket I made out of 1/16. If that thing leaks now I quit.
