460 header selection, best vs worst...
I have headman and they are gasket hungry, should I try something else. 1987 f 250. I would love to find some shorty equal length offerings... 460 7.5 4x4 super cab, split s/cab windows buckets, console no cracks in the dash, love it 40000 miles

I've run Gale Banks complete header/exhaust systems on my 460s since the early 90s. They do hold up.. My 89 went over 500,000 before the body gave up and the exhaust was transferred to my 97. where it's still going strong. No leaks, no cracks no hassles. The system is very spendy, but I feel, now after all the years and miles it's given me, is well worth it. Running empty it's only real bennie is the awesome pushrod V8 tunes it plays. But when loaded, say 20,000 # or so with my gooseneck it's a whole different truck. Phenomenal power and mileage, around 10, with that load! I love em and wouldn't screw around with anything else.
