Exhaust note changes when first started
My 2001 once started sounds normal then about 20-30 seconds after starting the sound out of the exhaust sounds like it is speeding up but yet the idle seems the same. I hope I am explaining this well enough to understand. Any idea what's going on? Thanks

Yup, sounds like normal operation. If it is cold there the PCM will close the EBPV to aid warm up. This will sound like a jet engine as the RPMs go up and the valve closes to retain heat.
