Hey all,
2015 F-250 4X4 powerstroke here. Question for anybody who has used the Lube Locker gaskets. Did you need longer bolts or are the stock ones sufficient?
Also, I havent done this service yet, but have been planning it for a while. Is 64K miles a bit premature? Truck towes about 25% of the time.

My thread on using the Lube Locker gasket when I drained mine.
So there is a plate between the cover and the housing?
I assume it would go cover, plate, gasket to housing.
How do you like the Lucas oil? I was thinking of using it because 44 clams a gallon is way better than motorcraft at 37 a quart. I don't have the elecrronic locker.

Thanks. The face of the diff cover is rather thin. I guess that plate acts as a washer for each bolt and gives strength to the OEM cover. Yes you are correct; gasket, diff cover then plate.
I wanted to use synthetic and Lucas came in a gallon bottle. Always heard good things about Lucas so I went for it. And free shipping on Amazon. If you don't have the ELD, then I'd assume you have limited slip. I don't believe you need additive w that Lucas. But better double check first though.

I think i will give the Lucas a try, because I have heard good things about their products for a while. The Motorcraft is waaayy over priced. Something wrong when the Amsoil is cheaper than Motorcraft.
I have to order another gasket for the front, it should be a Dana 60? My 2015 has an in service date of Nov, 2014, i bought it in july of 2015 wirh 9K on it after it was voluntarily repossessed.
I believe the F250s have the 60 also. But to double check, go here and run your VIN to see for sure. I've ordered from here before when I needed mirror parts after I screwed up my passenger side TWICE. When you run the VIN, then search for a diff gasket or front axle parts, it'll tell you for sure what it has. Most likely a 60.
