well as you can guess... im looking for a supercharger for my 4.6 i am later turning it into a 5.4 but for now i want to find a ROOTS style supercharger... just need some info on some good manufactures.. i know eaton makes the charger for the lightning but i am wanting to put 4v heads on like the ones on the mustang.. but i want it all to still bolt up.. centrifugical chargers are ok.... but i want this thing to really move some air.. i know they are not cheap... power = money but i figured this would be a good place to start.. ive been wanting to pull the motor out and put all of my forged rods, pistons, and crank in.... but i pop the hood and see all of those wires and get dizzy... but if anyone has any good info.. ill be glad to hear it

Not too shabby for an almost stock Truck
I personally went with the procharger system. it gets you up around 400hp (390really) with their intercooled system. I am thrilled to death with the power this sucker makes. it came with a full kit, intercooler and all. runs about 8-9lbs. boost with stock pulleys. Although i hear you can run er up to 12lbs. on a stock 4.6 and still be well within the ranges of the stock 4.6. Eaton also makes a really fine roots style, if i were to a roots it would be an eaton, but the ease and reliability and fun i have had with the procharger is awesome. Good to see somebody else turning up a 2002.
Ummmm....as far a roots type blowers I only know of Eaton (M112 on the L truck), Holley (Thunder Kit big $$$), and Works (?). All for 5.4's. Eaton and Kenne Bell make Lysholm (screw) type supercharges and are considerably more efficient. You looking for something that would work on your 4.6 then move to a 5.4? What do you mean by turning your 4.6 into a 5.4? 4.6's and 5.4's don't share the same block. If you are doing a 5.4 swap into your truck that is a different story and would suggest finding a complete Navigator mill if you want a 4V setup.

Hey smokem.... how much did your procharger system set you back??? i have been looking at them but i cant find a price anywhere... i checked their site and orderd a catalog... but no prices.
I Paid 3g for my intercooled procharger system with install. some places won't tell u prices but e-mail them and they usually will. I bought mine through a speed shop in st.louis, but they ordered it from the web, since they didn't carry that model, I'll see where they got it and get atcha then.
