Job1 is this Monday 11-4-2019, I still don't have a VIN for the truck I ordered on 10-9, I was told I'll get it after the 4th. Does that seem normal to those who have received a VIN?
I ordered 10-18 and I don't really expect to hear anything in November. I could be wrong and I hope I am. I would love to have it by the end of December but I don't think that is realistic. I'm prepared for maybe February. My thoughts are I jumped on this band wagon a little late since dealers started taking orders in August. My priority code is 10 but I would assume most of them are also. I just hope I didn't order an option that causes a hold.
I'm assuming you've asked your dealer. What did he say? I'm know some on this forum have their VIN's . You should have been pretty early in the pecking order.
Yep, say they still dont know anything....and this is a very large dealer. Guess it will show up when it shows up. Only 40 miles or so from the factory so at least transport won't take too long whenever they decide to actually load it up.
I have a $2,000 PCO locked in so I'm not changing anything. Just gonna wait it out.
I want my VIN because I heard I can lock my PCO in that expires 01/02/2020. The PCO is the main reason I ordered a truck so soon.
As long as you had a pco at time of ordering its locked in no matter when it comes in... Mine expired Oct 1 of 18, I ordered Sept 26 of 18 and took delivery Nov 11, 18. Pco worked fine.
I have 76 trucks on order 8/21 and all of them have no vin and from what I was told all are possibly delayed. These are C&C trucks and I was told the aft fuel tank is in short supply currently. The leasing company that supplies our pickups also has no delivery ETA for the pickups we ordered. It's a mad dash right now in California to get new trucks as starting January 2011 and older are being phased out and pre 2007 can't be registered. So hopefully we get the new F550 trucks in time for up fitting.
My dealer told me his Ford rep is saying all 2020 SD orders are delayed while the new motors await EPA certification. They told him mid/late November at the earliest before trucks start going down the assembly line.
