Job1 is this Monday 11-4-2019, I still don't have a VIN for the truck I ordered on 10-9, I was told I'll get it after the 4th. Does that seem normal to those who have received a VIN?
NOT saying you are wrong but where did you get this data from?

The PCO states must take delivery by 1.2.2020. So how do you get around that requirement?
A PCO is meant to inspire someone to buy during the stated time frame. As Oaks stated, they expire. Getting a PCO now, and expecting it to be locked is something that I’ve never heard of, so I guess we will see...

YEP, that is what has me sweating. I have VIN, but not build date. Taking a 6-week build to deliver time frame I am already at 15 Dec and not sure when the plant shuts down for Xmas. But getting delivery by 1.2.20 is looking weak and so is my $3500 money if I cannot take del!!!! I will buy anyhow, the $3500 is not a make or break, but sure nice to have...

Well, there hasn’t been a sign of any PCOs being issues lately. Nothing... Trust me, I’ve been fishing..
The latest PCO’s all seem to have a 1-2-20 expiration date.
The new SD Job 1 is projected to be 11-3-19, without knowing what options may be on factory hold, they will probably start with strictly fleet/municipal with Christmas break factory shut down looming. Delivery date is potentially early January
Coincidence?
I think we all know that PCOs are about jump starting stagnant sales areas or cleaning up leftover models.
Same here Don, it would be very nice, but it is what it is..
Given we have both ordered almost every factory option, we may not see our trucks until mid January.
You however do have a shot. You have a VIN.

Maybe I will buy some Ford stock, then call them up and say HEY GUYS, lets talk about this PCO thing!
PCO says: "take delivery new retail delivery from an authorized Ford"...
Ford has made an offer to me by name, I accepted said offer by ordering a F 450. In doing so I imply I have the ability to pay for and drive away with. I show up in person at my dealer where I placed the order and ask for the keys to my new truck.
Dealer replies that it has not arrived yet ...Sorry, but Ford made an offer, there was an acceptance by me when I placed an order and I put $500 down. Then Ford is in default on the contract if they cannot deliver, I will let them off the hook if they honor the PCO at the time of THEIR delivery to me!
I just did a Google search '2020 Ford Super Duty JOB 1' Start Up Dates
Anyone know what "F-Series Super Duty F-250 - F-450 Pickup VSO" VSO means?

I’m sure very high priced lawyers wrote the language.
Go to small claims, the dealer is and agent by and for Ford Motor Company. Small claims in Texas is a max of $10,000, you don't need a lawyer to sue. I have a valid contract with Ford Motor Company and their agent (my dealer), if they cannot deliver.
Contracts 101
"Most contracts only need to contain two elements to be legally valid:
All parties must be in agreement (after an offer has been made by one party and accepted by the other).
Something of value must be exchanged -- such as cash, services, or goods (or a promise to exchange such an item) -- for something else of value."
My dealer told me his Ford rep is saying all 2020 SD orders are delayed while the new motors await EPA certification. They told him mid/late November at the earliest before trucks start going down the assembly line.
If this is true, Ford really screwed up. This should have been done months ago with so called "Production" software. After the initial testing it should just be fine tuning without major changes. If major changes need to be made, time to replace the engineer for not doing their homework.
I have an awfully hard time believing they are being delayed due to awaiting EPA certification. Not doubting whoever that posted it was told that....I just find that really hard to believe that Ford would not apply for that far enough in advance and make sure it is moving along to certification in a timely manner considering how much money they would lose idling KTP super duty lines on a daily basis, not to mention all the other logistics set in place to start production. Plus we aren't dealing with Obama's EPA anymore. I wouldn't think the current admin would cost a US automaker hundreds of millions over some paperwork. If they delay it anymore they should just skip the 2020 model year and start 21s in a few months
While I don't have my VIN yet, I texted my dealer sales manager and he said my truck was scheduled to be built this month per his rep (ordered 8/23). So truly, everything is all over the map. They will arrive when they arrive I guess.

Dealers seem to enjoy knowing next to nothing about the vehicles they have on the lot, let alone the ones that aren't. I doubt this is correct information.
