I have a 1995 f350 power stroke 7.3 diesel truck that i ordered new. I need some new bellowed up-pipes. Are the pipes on this OBS truck the same as the newer 1999 -2003 7.3 trucks ? I see up-pipes for the later year trucks for sale on e-bay amazon but none for the early year 7.3 trucks. I know international sells them & Riff Raff but they are far more expensive . Any good leads would be appreciated Thanks for help friskyjake.
You aren't going to find a better quality than from Riffraff on their up-pipes. You really get what you pay for and these are best quality hands down and personally I love that they are 100% made in the USA by a reputable company like Riffraff Diesel that has been in our market for so long and are such strong supporters of our community on FTE and the industry in general.
I used Riffraff uppipes, fit great. Great time to install an EGT bung since the uppipes will be off. May as well rebuild the turbocharger as it will need to be removed, in my experience at least, and do upgraded boots from Riffraff. Delete the flapper, unless you use it for an exhaust brake. Great time for e-fuel if your system leaks.

I could help and build a set.
Are you fighting EGTs with the kc38? If so I don't think bellowing up pipes will fix the problem.
Friskyjake gave a call today. I wanted to see how he was doing anyway. Sounds like he has a few things on the go and plans to upgrade the torque converter.
Thanks for your feed back. Question A 2 disc or a 3 disc 1800 stall . 2 trans shops I,ve talked to said a 3 can be a rougher shift. I have a 9 ft, slide in camper on the back of my truck. My total weight of the 2 truck & camper with my boat on top & outboard & all my supply's & water is 11300 lbs. Your opinions please Thanks Friskyjake
The converter locks or unlocks, it is not a 'shift' really. I had a triple clutch 1600rpm in my 6.4, locked great, not rougher or harsher. Issues with too harsh are going to be tuning or valve body setup to me. In the Tugger kit at least, the TCC lockup is changed in the pump modifications.
I always err on the side of smaller feed holes versus larger, especially when it comes to shift firmness and TCC lockup, you can always make them larger. Too big makes life difficult to go backward. I did this on one of the first 4L60E's I built, made the 2-4 band feed hole for the 1-2 upshift too large and the shift was always harsh. Swapped in a new separator plate with a standard size feed hole, problem solved.
