help! starter relay

Ok thank you for this --Question --How would I bypass this switch to see if this is actually the problem --Looks like more than 2 wires from the wiring harness connecter

Ive ruled out the actuater rod because I can jump start the solenoid , Get it running & it will cut off with the key

Actuator is probably OK, but I wouldn't rule it out. Actuator could be half broken. That said, it's probably the shift tube or NSS.

It could be that the switch just needs adjusted, ie slid closer to the steering wheel. That has happened before on this forum.

Ok Ithink nss is netral safety switch --but what is a shift tube ?

Shift tube is for the automatic transmission.

You can bypass the clutch safety switch by disconnecting it and connecting the two red / light-blue wires going into the connector. Don't cut / splice the wires. Just put a jumper wire into the connector.
