Boy did I screw up,I took top of np435 alum shift casing off when setting my cab, taped it all off so no contaminants would fall in,set the cab (done)Went to install top of casing and it doesn't drop right in the tunnel hood opening.tried putting it on a slant to set,and now my gears don't mesh correctly. What a screw up,two steps forward three steps back.maybe have to pull tranny
Was the trans in neutral when you pulled the cover? The NP435 shifter comes right off without pulling the whole top, just push down and twist the sheet metal retainer collar.
IT was,and I thought it was,,,and yea easy stick off with collar,,,,,,,,but anyway Im in this dilemma.....3 steps forward 2 steps back,,,I also drooped the plastic retainers on the rear fork into the casing trying to get back on
took the pto cover off and dug around and found the plastic bumper retainers,,,,great ,now it looks like I have to raise the cab off the frame some and place the top of New process nice and square ,fortunately front clip is not on
Well just a follow up ,I had to lift cab high enough to get under there and place NP 435 lid nice and sq. placement,,,,,all is well again,,,,,push collar down, turn counter clock wise remove stick,,,,,,,,
