Hey guys, anyone hear from Dick lately? He last activity here was in August and there's unanswered posts on FB asking him about his status with no replies in late September. Anyone near Erie, PA, Dick's home town?

I was wondering about Dick when I posted a while back about a certain scam artist he had a personal interest in. I was sure Dick would have had input about the subject. I even messaged him, no response.

I live in Erie. I couldn't find anything under the name "Crabtree", but I did find a Richard Crabtree that lives about 7 miles from me. I'll do some more digging to see if I can find a phone number and give him a call.

I struck out with a phone number (not in the Erie phone book). Do we know for sure that he is in a hospital, or is that just speculation? I could certainly stop by his place one evening on the way home from work, if nobody knows for sure that he's in one of the area hospitals. Do you think that would OK to do that?

If you would stop by his place I am sure Dick would appreciate knowing that we are all concerned. Just be prepared Dick is just as strange in person as he is on the net. He's quite the character.

Well I didn't say they'd give you his room number, but even in these days of HIPPA out the ears, they'll connect you to a hospital room sometimes. A lot of times nowadays a patient will have a security phrase for privacy. But if you get connected to a nursing station or his room, you'll get your answer even if you don't know the secret password. It's one of my pet peaves with HIPPA, and a big loophole.
