Hey guys I'm the proud owner of a 93 f150 2wd short bed with the 5.8l engine. I truly do love this truck. I bought it with a blown motor, so I replaced it with a good one with less miles. This motor has been gone through with all new gaskets, new distributor, plugs, plug wires, new injectors, fuel pressure regulator(fuel pump and fuel filter also) when I start it up it doesnt want to rev out. I can get it to smooth out but when I try to give it anything it trys to stall out. I'm lost timing chain was not sloppy so I didnt replace that. Help me please!
You are very proud and truly love it, but you are about done with it? Those things do not go together. Patience will help you get it right.
I would have someone spray starting fluid in the TB as you try to apply power to see if it helps or not. That would at least narrow it down to ignition or fuel as the problem area.
