Ford IDS help needed
Guys not sure if this is the correct forum or not but here goes. I’ve been doing some mods to my truck adding certain OEM items that were not part of the as-builds on my truck. Mainly a upgraded gauge cluster, Select Shift Transmission shifter and brake controller. Using Forscan I was able to get almost everything right.
The ONE thing I haven’t been able to do is change one line in the PCM as-builds to (hopefully) activate the SST function on my truck. I have narrowed it down to PCM line 5 with research from other guys who have looked into doing this. I never heard if he was successful or not so here is my go at it.
I understand that IDS is the only way to modify as-builts in the PCM. I don’t have the extra cash to buy a full function IDS for most likely a one time use. I do however don’t mind a really good VCM2 clone, if such thing exists.
Or even better, someone in the DFW, Texas area that has IDS that would be willing to help out. Any suggestions?

Ok, I’m going to update my thread. I WAS able to activate the Select Shift Grandmission function through Forscan. I am going to start a separate thread on this. I realize that this only applies to a small minority of people wanting to do this. I searched for months and never did find a resolution or anyone who was successful so I feel the need to share this!!
