The condenser is located under the distributor cap on top of the distributor. It looks like this picture. Sometimes they can break down when heated and sometimes they can be no good right out of the box. Probably made right here in China!!! LOL

Just a bit of factual humor.

The last time I went to my local MacParts store and asked for a condenser for my '49 Ford F-2 truck the young counter guy punched my vehicle information into his computer and informed that Ford didn't have air conditioners in '49. An older guy behind the counter just happen to be walking past us, heard the statement, turned to his right and grabbed an "ignition" condenser off the shelf and handed it to me.

That is funny! But it is sad. What happens when the older guys don't work there anymore?

Just as unfortunate, there may not be any older guys left to need ignition condensers. Even more unfortunate is the trend to obsolete the internal combustion engine and the ability to drive yourself. It all may be moot before long.

As for the vehicle quitting while running, be sure to clean and coat your fuel tank (the source of all the debris causing your fuel problems). A well equipped radiator shop can boil it out for you.
