It's on an E-350 ambulance I recently bought. I assumed it was a Ford part but I can't find anything that looks like it so maybe not. If it's aftermarket; anyone know how I'd search/find one like it? It has no markings.

It sorta resembles TYPE 8 in the pic below, but it's not the same. It's an aftermarket mirror sold by auto parts stores.
Years ago, there were several downtown auto parts stores that sold these mirrors, but are now out of business.
SoCal Truck Wrecking (8229 S. Alameda St L/A 90001) might have them, might. They have mirrors wired to their fence, but I haven't been there in 5 years, so I cannot say for sure.
You'll have to go there and look, because no one who works there will know if they're genuine Ford or not. SoCal is closed weekends.
Thank you!!! From a little searching it appears that there's a type 8 for trucks & broncos and another for vans but not totally sure. At least I have something I can start searching with. I'll also check in with that junkyard, I went there once a few years ago for some L8000 parts. The body on this thing is pretty clean so I don't want to punch holes in it to put in a different mirror. If I gotta rig something up I'll mod a mirror to fit while I wait to find the right one. I currently have one rigged up but it's stupidly rigged just so I could drive around and assess the vehicle's condition.

Econoline mirror is different than F100/350, because the contours of the doors are different, so the mounting brackets are different.
The mirror head is the same, and these mirrors were introduced in 1975.
I know that SoCal has several of these mirrors wired to their gate and chain link fence, but don't know what they're for.
This yard has been owned by the same family since it was established in 1929 and I've been going there since 1967.
