Explorer performance slowly decrease after resetting ecu
my explorer will continue to loose performance until i reset the computer then it feels like it has tons more power right after i reset the ecu is this the oxygen sensors the car has 75k

ummm check timing. as you may know a typical obdII system has a type of progammable memory in the pcm. after clearing the memory, it takes a while to reprogram itself. i think the power you are feeling is the computers factory parameters, and the power loss is the computer adapting itself to the engine. also put A five-gas analyzer in the exhaust to check for typical emissions. high hc's mean rich mixture, high oxygen means lean.
