I have an 05 F150 XLT 4x4 with a 5.4 and a 145 inch wheelbase and the 9.75 rear end. I called Ford for the part number for the rear driveshaft and from the vin they gave me part number 5L3Z4602MA. I have called nearly every boneyard within 100 miles and nobody has one. There are a lot of #5L344602MA driveshafts, but none of my OE part number.
Are these two driveshafts the same thing? And if not does anybody know what the difference is?

Not sure if this will help or not, but I just replaced mine from CCI drivline in Michigan. They shipped it to Louisiana. I think there is a driveshaft place somewhere in Florida with new shafts also.
As far as cost, I'm not sure what yours would cost, as it sounds like your wheelbase is extended cab with 6.5 foot bed. Mine is a crew with a 5.5 bed. 139 inch wheelbase. My driveshaft is one piece with no hangar bearing. Mine was $350. Their website has instructions on how to measure to ensure they ship you the correct shaft. Comes with greaseable joints that are serviceable. Perhaps they ship a greaseable hangar bearing also, not sure.
Mine had those staked in joints and I wasn't about to spend $80 per joint to attempt to change those.
