Fan Shroud

So my fan shroud disappeared few years back during the rebuild & I'm trying to locate another one but nothing for Pre-87 comes up (Mine being an 86 302)
Was there any major difference between an 87 302 & an 86 version?? I can only locate 87 models & newer but IDK if that matters being I'm running a 2-core aluminum radiator.

You should try and find one for an 81 with a 300 six with AC to boot!

What I did to find one for mine was check all information I could find for size of both radiator and shrouds.
Once I found some thing I thought would work even if I had to cut and plastic weld to make it work and at a price I could live with if it did not.
I found 1 for think was $20 so I got 2 to make 1. Turned out I only needed 1 and trimmed 1/2" off each side to fit it closer to the radiator.
All the bolt tabs lined up on the radiator and looks like it was a factory part.

So you may need to do the same. Look at the radiators between the years because between my year & think 83 or 84 the radiators changed shape and how they mount.

One thing I do when trying to find parts in go to Autozone, find your radiator, then click on vehicle fitment, and it will spit out a list of all other vehicles the part fits. That's not just Fords, it brings them all up. You may even find a jeep or Dodge has something that could work. Rare, but it happens.

I found one for my 85 with a 300 at summit racing. I believe it said for 87+, but was the right thickness (or should I say thin-ness) to work with my 3" radiator.

Since your 86 302 is efi, I dont see why the 87 model wouldn't work. You may have to get crafty with mounting. I did, as I dont have a stock radiator anyways. It was easier than mounting the radiator, that's for sure.

Of course a junkyard would be an easy source too

Where are you looking for the fan shrouds? I found the following in less than 5 minutes.
See 302 & 351W in pic. 1980/86 Bronco is the same. 1987 and later is different.

E2TZ-8146-F = NOS PARTS SOURCE in Olathe KS has 1 = 913-220-5746 // FORD PARTS ONLY in Bayamon Puerto Rico has 1 = 787-786-9180 // None on ebay.

E5TZ-8146-H = NOS PARTS SOURCE has 1 // There are quite a few more on ebay.

E5TZ-8146-J = KLIMESH MOTOR SALES in Calmar IA has 2 = 563-562-3241 // There are 2 more on ebay.
