Spooks in my van...???
have a 2008 E-150....every so often ,with the van locked up and the key out , there is static sounds on all speakers..a very short burst about every 15-25 sec. after a while it stops ..going into the van does not stop it....................??????????????

Does this happen every time or just when in certain parts of your city?
This might be associated with parts of the CAN-bus network or if the factory radio that's acting up---wouldn't be the first time for such a thing. If not factory radio then its from the CAN-bus network. I don't know if there is a reason or a solution for this sort of thing though---sorry I can't be more helpful.

there is no power lines or cell tower close by...we have underground wiring in here and this happens when the van is parked in my driveway........?????????

the static noise was doing it's thing yesterday after some rain......seems you can adust the volume of the static with the volume **** even though the key is not in and ,of course, the radio is off........where & how do I check for parasidic drain ???

Fist off, check all the speakers and see if its just 1, second, do you have an amp, third, are any wires kinda rough or are the stereo wires not done well. When it comes to electrical there are about a million things they can be. For me it was shotty stock radio wires making contact with metal. Also, it never hurts to check over everything with a multimeter.

battery dead this AM.....my garage said for me to pull the fuse for the radio and see if it still does it.......2008 e series manual list 3 fuses (#8 , 22 , 37 ) for radio and audio.........any idea which to pull???

Perhaps you'd be better advised fully describing what "radio" you actually have: stock OEM or an aftermarket brand? Show a photo of the radio face.
