Just towed 1700 miles with a measly 3000 lb.. trailer through mountains with 6.7. Best, 13mpg. Worst 10.5. Running pretty good speeds though when not in hills.
I average about 15mpg running 85mph or so on the interstate, which is almost legal where I live haha. I have 47k on my 17 F350 with a 6.7 and 3.73's. It's been pretty consistent since it was new.

'19 F250 CCSB, 6.7L..., +9500 miles in and to date I have never once looked at or checked the mileage! Most certainly did not buy it based upon its fuel mileage.
I check mine on occasion. I drive the speed limit solo but set the cruise at 67 towing. I will average between 15 and 16 on the road, not towing. We just did a 2600 mile trip towing our 16K fifth wheel. The first half we had a nice tail wind. 11.4 which was a new world record for me. Coming back we had a head wind and dropped to 9.6. Most trips towing will be between 10 and 10.5. Mine has the 3.55 rear end.
I just got back from a pretty long road trip. 3100 miles towing a 12,000 pound fifth wheel and 500 miles solo. There was plenty of climbing done and the cruise was generally set at 65 MPH while towing. There was a 400 mile stretch from Lawton, OK to Albuquerque, NM with a pretty steady headwind that dropped the overall MPG by over a mile.
I'm assuming you have a gas? My 6.7 F450CC 4x4 on a recent 2000 mile trip from Ontario to Virginia and around and back pulling my 35' 16,000 lb RV netted 9.9mpg on my computer. I've hand calculated in the past and it is usually optimistic. I drive very carefully and generally set the cruise control to 62mph. I'm a bit disappointed as my 2011 3500 Ram 3.42 with G56 manual pulling same trailer would get 12.5mpg. I knew the rear end gearing would hurt me but I was hoping by driving slower I could get close. Truck is awesome in every other regard and I am definitely more stable, brake better and easier maneuvering.
Not sure if you were addressing me, but my truck is a 6.7. I expected better fuel economy but it is still a lot better than the 6 mpg I would get in my V10 (4.88 gears and 35"tires) towing a 9,000 travel trailer. I absolutely love towing with the Power Stroke.

I was addressing the op. He didn't mention in his first post. Those numbers seem low for a 6.7.
My around town driving is almost as good as hwy mileage. 15 around town and 16-17 on the hwy depending on speed. Flat as a pancake hwys down here so that probably helps a lot. 9 to 10 mpg towing our 17K pound 5th wheeler depending on speed. I usually tow in the 62 to 65 mph range and cruise at 67 to 70 mph when not towing on the hwy. I try not to exceed 2K rpm's with the 4.10 gearing.
