I'll tell ya, BMW KNOWS paint......
As I am also a motorcycle enthusiast, I can tell you that there are 30 year old black beemer scooters out there that look flawless (with the original paint, BTW).
Can't say the same for (hardly) any other factory paint jobs on high production bikes.
Sure, the super customs do well, but 1300 coats of acrylic lacquer will do that.......
Not to mention the $$$s it will cost to get that puppy in that lustre.
Did I mention that '91 F150 I had, that had the hood that would peel like an egg?????? It was cabernet Red, with a REAL nice white primer underneath..... an involuntary two-tone

I have a white one and a black one and my signature below says it all!!!! I told myself that I'd never have a white truck BUT after going down dirt roads and not seeing the dust on it, I'm beginning to change my mind. My black one looks good when you leave the car wash but I think if I could pick it up and carry it in my arms down the dirt road, It would show dust! LOL As far as white goes, my cocern is rust showing up in a few years.
