Another reason is the DEF. I have a gauge on my ford! Also don't have to pop my hood to fill it, or stare at a big tank hanging below the frame. Ford has heated rear seats. I also like the camera by the 3rd brake light, again not available on a gm. Ford had better box lights than gm.
One thing that I dont really care about but definitely has a advantage over gm is that monster sunroof. That thing is HUGE!
The disadvantages to the ford is the ride. It is definitely rougher than the gm. The only other disadvantage to me was the height. I can barely get it in my garage. And I had to totally change my camper setup. But it's not a big deal if you don't pull a 5thwheel. The pro's far outweighed the con's for me. I did hear that gm has caught up on some of the deficiencies with the new model. However I haven't seen one in person. And probably wouldn't buy one anyway with that hideous grill.
Coming from a Dmax myself, I can also say that the GM drove so much smoother due to the independent suspension up front. I like my Ford, but the solid axle and constant bump steer is annoying on road trips.

@Sagnasty sweet username dont know why but made me laugh!
Good looking truck. One reason I went with Ford is the simplicity of the solid front axle but the ride is harsh especially unloaded.

Sharp truck you have there. I, too, went to Ford and have recently switched back. I went to Ford for many of the same reasons as you. More room in the rear of the crew cabs, more tech, etc. I got a 2020 High Country and am enjoying it. They have improved in every area, room, tech, etc. No panoramic moonroof, though! LOL! I didn't even order one with the moonroof this time, so that doesn't bother me too much. The ride is much smoother on the Chevrolet due to the independent front suspension. The towing technology is great, as I've really enjoyed it towing my TT and 5th wheel so far. They are quite a bit larger than the '19s too. I don't think you can wrong either way with any of the Big 3 trucks, honestly.

We drove a GMC just to be sure we were making the right choice... I've had Ford trucks since the early 90's but times change. I absolutely agree about the ride. The GMC rode like a car. Also the seats were beyond comfortable. They didn't have the massage but very nice. You are also spot on about the tech, seemed to me like the truck was 2-5 years behind. For me the deal breaker was the camera system that the Ford had and the GMC didn't . One other seat of the pants feeling was the GMC felt very sluggish, just not near as fast and confidence inspiring with power.

Beautiful truck and welcome.
