Are there differences between the 48 52 rims and the 53 56 rims. Found a set of blue painted hub caps like the ones on my 52, that measure 7 1/8 inside to inside won’t fit my 52 rims., Are they for 53 56 rims. Look like they are made for a “inner “ rim
Could they be for 15” rims
thanks,,
Tom

If you're talking about F1/F100 innie hubcap wheels, that part is all the same from 1940 to 1966. It's also the same size cap Ford cars used from 1940-48. F2/F250 had larger diameter hubcaps than the half tons. Perhaps that's what you found.
There are other differences between early and later wheels, size wise, but the hubcap bumps are the same.
If you can show us what you have it might jog our memories. I'm not coming up with anything in my brain based on your description. Am I correct in my understanding your odd cap is identical to your originals, only smaller?

The OP doesn't really say what he's working on. He said the hubcap he had wouldn't fit his '52 wheels, then asked if it was for a 1953/56, also asked if it was for a 15" wheel. OP also said it looks like an "inner."
None of this makes any difference because if the truck is an F1, 6A-1130-A will fit any F1/F100 innie wheel, whether it's a 15, 16 or 17."
