Ahhh... Central Dairy big portions and great ice cream. I don't get there often enough. I'm not sure if they still do it, but growing up we used to get milk and stuff delivered to our door twice a week.
f-250zilla, if you get bored while you are up here, you can come up and get my 55 F250 motor back together and running.
Lets see, uumm the shiny thing goes on top, this crooked thing goes in here somehow oh yeah, put some oil in it. UUHHHH
you would be better off having a new born three toed sloth fix it, than me. Good to know there is life in Mo. My wife is class of '86 also. She was just telling me about how much the town has "GROWN" now I would have loved to been there 20 years ago. Her father was a milk man for central dairy, retired now, he gave new meaning to why buy the cow when the milk is free.
Her brother works at Menu Makers in JC.

That's the nice thing about old engines, they are pretty straight forward. I've never done any work like this and learned a lot tearing the engine apart (I wen't as far as removing the heads) and starting to put it back together (low on funds and time, so things has come to a standstill)
Thinking back, growing up is JC was pretty nice. Medium sized town with more of a small town feel. I was a distance runner (hence the name Harrier) and I have covered about every street in the town. Good stuff if you are a glutton for punishment with all the hills.
How do you get a chapter for your state, I'm another Kansas member. I work in Kansas City alot, but live in Lenexa. So I actually spend lots of time in both states.
Harrier, I work with a guy that lives in California, MO.
Hey jskufan.. you are right down the road from me. I am in OP. I work a lot in Lenexa. In fact, I used to own a house there at 80th and Hauser, in Post Oak, if you are familiar with that end of town. Right off 79th and Pflumm. We need to charter a Kansas chapter. You can't spit without seeing a SD around here, you know more than just you and I from around here read FTE.

Small world, I live in Post Oak Farms, I have for about 16 years. What does it take to charter a chapter??
I dunno. I dont even know who we would ask. Maybe a moderator? Very small world. Post Oak isn't that big. Without asking your address, where were you in relation to the associations pool? We have probably crossed paths hundreds of times. I am going to see if I can find a moderator to let me know how to get Kansas on the FTE map.
Originally posted by jskufan Hang10, I live on Caenen Lake Rd. I think Hauser or Haskins is next, then Noland Rd. (going east). When did you move away?
I left there in August of 89. I think it sold in 90, or 91. I let my ex have it, she sold it. It was a nice area. I bought the house before I even graduated college, (loan from ex's parents.) It wasn't landscaped and the interior trim wasn't done. I did both those myself. I built a deck inside because the ceilings were so high. Ah well, those were the days. Moved out by Corporate Woods for a while, then to Merriam, now in OP again, building a place in Leawood. Been around I suppose. I would think in just our area, we have enough to fill a Kansas chapter.

Great to see so many from Kansas here.
We deserve a chapter too. Not that I mind sharing with Missouri. That is where I was raised and graduated college from. Been in KS over 20 years now though..... if only we could do something about those jayhawks .

If he grew up here my wife will probably know everything about him and his family. Especially if he is in his mid to late 30's. If you need any dirt on him just let me know
Lenexa and Cal. MO are a ways apart, does one of you commute quite a bit?
Hey jskufan, I just now looked at your gallery. Wondering where you got your steps. I have a reg cab too and it's hard/impossible so far, to find bars for anything but a 4dr. I tried most dealers, Bob Allen, Olathe, Extreme and on SM pkwy, no luck. Thanks..

The chrome side pipes (nerf bars) are Ford equipment. Shortly after buying the truck I ordered them through Shawnee Mission Ford and they came out and installed them at my office. I think they were about $400.00 and are available in chrome or powder black. I'm very happy with the quality of them and passengers love them!

Harrier, we both work in Kansas City, MO. Down in the East bottoms. He bought the house in California probably a little over a year ago. He came from Holden, MO. He currently owns both homes and goes to California on weekends. His plan is to retire in California, he has relatives in Jeff City.
PS I've known him for 20 years, that's longer than his wife has!
