I was wondering if "Rip" (back on 10/1) got his defroster to work without the a/c compressor?
I've got the same problem, but my engine is the 4.9L.
After reading my factory manuals, I'm still kind of confused as to whether I can run the defroster without the use of the AC.

Hello Hydro and Welcome to FTE!
Your defroster will work without the AC. It just will not work as well since the AC system dries the air for the defroster.
