Factory Airbags or Remote Control Fish Eye Mirrors

Remote control exterior blind spot "fisheye" mirrors are in the new Ram.
One Ford order guide appeared to state that Ford was actually deleting side curtain air bags and pyrotechnic rear seat belt pretensioners for model year 2020. I'm still trying to sort that one out... so standby for more clarity to come on how Ford is meeting passenger safety standards while at the same time listing side curtain airbags as deleted for 2020, if that is in fact the case.
If by factory airbags you meant rear suspension load support supplement, again, that is a Ram feature, not found on Ford, and not even rumored for Ford in model year 2020.

I’ve got no experience in the vehicle business or any mechanical engineering subject matter. Nevertheless, I have no discomfort stating that Ford undoubtedly has a strategic plan for trucks with a time horizon well over 10 years out. They also must have a tactical plan looking out <5 years. For the 2020 upgrade there were discussions of exactly what features will and will not be included. 2021 too etc. Competitive factors may induce some juggling. How long ago was the cut-off for 2020 changes? I’ve no idea.
Talking about tactical plan and off topic: what in the world are tactical pants? Wouldn’t belt loops be tactical??

I will have to disagree about service life... I had to replace springs 3 different times on my last truck and when I sold it it needed leafs replace again. It was always in the main spring pack not the helpers.

Well makes sense, there will always be exceptions but the point was in general. Example - Sitting on a shelf leafsprings will never expire whereas airbags (rubber) will.
