I believe the filters are 93mm, and these usually work well.
I have a case of 12 MOTORCRAFT FL 820S filters, with 36 flutes on the top circumference, and use one of these. Just amke sure if you want to sue this style filter wrench, that you match the flutes to the filter(s) you will be using, as some 93mm ones have less flutes, such as only 15, as shown below..
Keep in mind that the filters are put on dry during assembly. On my 09 f150 I was unable to remove the filter and took it to the dealer. This go around on my 19 f250 I didn’t even try and just took it to the dealer. From here on out I do my own.
Ford cranks all their filters on very tight from factory. My last 5 brand new Fords all had this challenge waiting for me. 2018 expedition was the worst due to filter location buried behind plastic, metal supports and accessories.
Pretty common with the factory filter. Also, I found out from another member that the factory oil filter is made by champion and they are more or less junk.
ETA. I had to change the factory filter at 800 miles because the anti drain back valve was faulty.

Yeah, I didn’t expect a non-branded oil filter when I went under there. Has a new motorcraft filter now and Mobil 1 oil.
I have a large and small (~40 year old Craftsman) of these. From wikipedia: According to Pappus of Alexandria, Archimedes' work on levers caused him to remark: "Give me a place to stand on, and I will move the Earth." One of these, an extension, and a breaker bar will remove any oil filter. Modern versions exist.
Used a good ol strap style filter wrench and mine came right off. Took some grunt but came right off. Glad you were able to at least remove it. I have experienced some that had to have a big screw driver or punch driven though it to get it off.

Not sure what you mean by 'non-branded'. It is clearly marked FoMoCo Ford Motor Company. Filters bought for the factory don't get fancy three color labels.
You can spend money changing oil early, but not buying decent tools?
I have a decent tool: it’s called a channel lock, and 99% of the time you don’t need it because the filter is installed correctly. 100% of the time, I replace the filter so don’t give a copulation about the old filter’s condition, hence the channel lock.
Not everyone runs to the tool truck on payday, sport.

Yeah, but why have it be different? On a $4 filter? Doesn’t make any sense.
