Hello,
I have a quick question. I am redoing my breakers right now and I got the hardware kit that raybestos makes and there is two springs tha5 could go in the adjuster spring at the bottom. It seems that one ones side my drum has one and the other drum has the other kind. Anyone know what is the right one?
I just recently did the rears on my 10.25 Sterling. I believe you have two different springs there, because the ones I got in my kit were all colored the same, and went in the same location on each side, so you 'should' have another blue one to go on the other side.
I believe one was for the top of the shoes and the other was at the bottom.
The Haynes/Chilton manual really came in handy, as well as taking pictures before I took everything apart so I could then match everything up when reassembling it.

Please, when asking questions, list ALL the pertinent info, we are not mind readers. In this case, year and series.
Your "About Me" profile says 1981 F250. If this is what you're working on:
There are TWO different springs, it depends on whether your truck has 12" x 2 1/2" or 12" x 3" rear brakes.
You are right. I will edit my profile right away in case I forget in the future. It is a 2wd 1981. With 2 1/2 inch rear brakes. Problem is that one side uses one kind of spring and the other the other kind. So one side must be wrong.
