I was afraid of hitting another rock on the front diff cover this hunting season so I installed this guard made by rustys off-road. I was going to buy the Carli one but it reduces ground clearance by a half inch or so from what I’ve read.
The instructions say if the diff leaks oils during the install to pull the cover and reseal. Mine dripped once until I torqued the new bolts now it’s bone dry. Think I’m ok?
I would just keep an eye on it, it’s not going to just dump the whole thing instantly driving down the freeway.
then when it’s time to change the fluid, pull it off and reseal it.
