Good morning, I am thinking of getting my gauge cluster for a 1950 F1 restored. Any suggestions on a reasonable price, quality work shop I can send it to. Thanks for any help. Tom
Ah, Helenville. How did I miss a new-ish member from Jefferson County? Welcome from a native of the area.
To your question, a fellow who does restos often lists items on the Swap Meet section (Early V8 version) on the Ford Barn. He has a current ad for exactly your piece. I have bought a speedo from him for another project and have been pleased with his work. His contact info: Bill Wells bwells4608@comcast.net

There is also a shop in Milwaukee - Speedometer Service - that restores Harley and other vintage sets. The item I needed restored was beyond saving though. I haven't seen their finished product but he has a trade outside the area with a fairly picky cycle crowd. URL: http://www.speedometersolutions.com/
Thanks forty niner, I'm actually closer to Rome, if you know where that is. Helenville is about 10 miles from me. Weird mailing addresses. Anyway, I see he has one for a reasonable price. I'm looking to see if I can just buy the speedo, I have found one but not sure if it will work. May be better off just getting a whole new cluster. Anyway, thanks, I will look Bill up to see what he has. Hopefully pictures will be in the near future.
