Ignition lock cylinder problem

Anybody ever have an ign lock cylinder not allow the counter clockwise position for accessories? Also in the first forward position, nothing happens. Start and run work fine.

Mine does the same thing and now it’s taken to dinging even after the key is removed. New lock cylinder in hand with two new keys, forscan on a laptop and dongle to connect so I can program the new keys myself. I thing it just broke and started coming apart inside, time to replace. It all started by turning hard and sticking.

That's the part I don't like, now you're going to have to have separate keys for ignition and doors. I can't believe they don't make a lock cylinder you can key to the original key.

I believe they do, when I was looking for another drivers door lock cylinder after an attempted break in my dealer offered a re-key tumbler kit. I never followed through as I deleted both front door locks.

I can see that being a problem...for me, I don't worry about it because I never use my key for the locks. I've taken to using the keypad most of the time and the fob for the rest. Maybe that's why my key doesn't unlock the rear hatch....hmm

My keypad isn't working, must be a bad wire in the door somewhere. I"m going to have to look for a lock cylinder that can be keyed to my original keys I guess.
