Gas guage problems

So I have a new sending unit and cleaned the connectors. I checked the selector switch under the dash and found the black wires cut. Where do they go to? Plesse help.

They don't go anywhere unless you have the electric fuel pumps.
Don't worry about them at all.
If your gas gauge doesn't read correctly after installing the new sender then try a new ignition switch.
