I have seen the aftermarket LED sealed units like the round units and the 4" × 7" units come with heating elements in them to solve the problem. But those are the better, more expensive lights. I wonder if the 17+ OEM LED headlights have heaters in them or what?
Bohen, yes I hear you on the heat problem. They would have to be zip ties out of the way of any plastic that would melt no doubt. The VLEDs plug in resistors have double sided tape on them so they can be stuck on the inside of the tail light pocket on the bed. For the front ambers, something would have to be figured out.
To be honest, those LED 921 bulbs I bought still get hot though. When I was taking my pics for my thread, they were hot after they were on.
I'm still on the fence about replacing my H13s with LED bulbs. If I upgrade my fog lights to a well designed LED system and place other quality supplemental LED pods/bars somewhere in the front of the truck, that's all I would really need for when I'm driving out in the country to see the deer...

Buy recommendation for led's in your fog lights go with ones that do not have fans in them mainly because when driving debris and what not as a possibility of getting into the grooves that would engage in to the fans and may cause them to break the fan down or stall.
Though Highly unlikely it will happen is still a chance I did not wanna have to be on some road changing out a light because OCD kicked in or what not. My headlights have fans in them for the LED to keep cool but my fog lights are non fan.

To be honest, I don't like the fan bulbs at all. Especially for here in the winter where moisture freezes and all the snow we get here. I'm looking at saving up and buying some good units ( KC Hilites, Baja Designs ) to replace my fogs but may be tempted to try the cheaper option first. The KCs have a 23 year warranty and Baja a lifetime warranty. So I'm thinking that they'll last at least 3, 5 or more years...I am OVERKILL dammit!
