1- When I brake hard with my truck it locks up the right front brake, then it pulls hard to the right. The brakes seem to be very weak and untrustable in a sticky situation. What could be the problem.
2- My e-brake is extremely loose. If I can even set it, there is little to no pressure on the brakes. How can I fix that
your front brake problem is mostlikely a pluged caliper. they are fairly cheap, quick and easy to replace and while u have the calipers off slap a new set of pads on. and your e-brake problem can be fixed 2 ways first is to adjust the cable under the bed, but check inside the hub that the shoes are adjusted up and still have good amount of lining, which might also be part of the problem.
Thanks, I was wondering how can I check if it is a plugged caliber. Also the e-brake adjustment is totally out. and I believe that the shoes are adjusted out two, but it seems that lines are too loose. I was wondering if I could fix it without buying new lines

The best way to see is drive it a few miles and see if the rims get warm, if not then replace them, if they get really hot replace them, if they stay cold then drive it around some more and see if they get warm. The one that gets the hottest is most likely your problem wheel.
Well when they are pluged up bad they will not back the pressure off the pad when the pedal is released. one way to check and possibly clean it out some would be to try and bleed them for air and see if u get some chunks with the fluid, if not autozoo sells them for about 13.00 a piece + 10 dollar core charge. i would suggest new calipers, pads, shoes and if u cant adjust the cables then replace them also. i have replace all the lines and stuff on my 85 and them brakes sure work better now all i have left and soon to be done is new self adjusting hardware and ebrake cables.

the bad thing about it is the cables run about $25 for each and there are 3 . and also should i be able to run the truck stop and go for a long time without the rims becoming warm?
well if none get warm at all then pull the tire off and scuff the pads and rotors lightly with some fine sandpaper like 220 or so and see if that helps any. Pull your rear drums off and make sure the shoes are still there and adjust them as needed. scuff the shoe linings and drums lightly also but remember not to breathe in the dust. put everything back together and see if that helps any.
