I guess I'm in the minority... I never use auto. I don't like how dark it has to be out before they come on. Even if it's just cloudy, my running lights/fogs are on.
I always use auto, and only turn them off when I get in or out and my knee rubs the switch. It turns them to “on” and I am only aware when the chime goes off. Maybe my switch is a little more sensitive than some?

I'm with you, I've never used it in any vehicle. Guess I'm old school on some things. I like at least having some control of things on my vehicles! Lol
The "Auto" setting is just one more thing making drivers dumber. Just like all the morons running around with just their DRL's on a night. No tail lights, no marker lights...just dim headlights with the driver chugging along like nothing is wrong.
