New to the forum here, but I’m looking at possibly color matching my bumpers. I know it might just be easier to get bumpers off of a platinum, but I’m just wondering what my options are with the current chrome bumpers. Thanks!
I would personally get on ebay and find new paint to match units and sell yours. The reason I suggest paint is because you can then do a clear bra over it. I wouldn't waste my time doing it any other way. You want a clear bra on both the front and rear bumpers.
You can also call around to some ‘take off’ places and I am sure they will cut you a sweet deal on a scratched/rock chipped painted front bumper.
I think the rear one is 3 piece and each side is pretty cheap. I have bought 3 for my 2015+ F150.
Sell the 2 sides separately of the rear bumper on ebay for a quick buck and hang onto the front unit 2021-2022 because they are worth more.
If you want to sell your stock chrome door handles I really need a drivers door chrome trim piece.
I have the front and rear bumper I pulled off of my 2019 Magnetic Gray Platinum at about 2000 miles. Replaced with Ranch Hand. I'd be happy to part with them. I'm in Lubbock Tx....we might be close in proximity. Then again, its Texas, we might not.
Painting over chrome is a waste of time. A lot of painters will claim they can do it, but they've probably just inhaled too many fumes. The only way to paint a chrome bumper and have it last is to sand blast all the chrome off and start with bare metal. That just isn't cost effective unless you have the ability/tools to do the sandblasting yourself. If you don't, you might as well buy new bumpers. I did this on my last truck. I sold the front chrome bumper and traded the rear to my paint/body guy. As stated, some members have had good luck with vinyl wrap.

Awesome! I work out in west Texas so I could pick them up from you. Tried sending you a message but it says you’re not accepting messages. Let me know how I can get in touch with you. Thanks.

Thats kinda what I figured. I didn’t really want to vinyl wrap either. Appreciate it!

I’m thinking I’m probably just gonna go with paintable bumpers instead of vinyl wrap. My door handles are painted.

Could you text me? My aunt lives in Lubbock and is coming to Dallas to visit this weekend. Might be able to work something out......
