Variable valve timing control question.
So in dealing with a vvt issue on my 2011 6.2l I am learning more and more about this system. One thing I can't figure out though. So at initial start up the engine appears to run on a program that forces it to do certain things to run correctly. I connect my scanner and pull up the pids for both banks and watch this happen on the graphs. Once it hits operating temperature the graphs smooth out and they don't fluctuate near as much. So are these graphs giving me real sensor data from the engine prior to operating temperature or are they just displaying what the computer wants itself to see during warmup?
