Hey! I’ve got a 2001 f250 7.3 with about 196,000 miles even and I’ve started hearing a knock/ticking noise coming from it when it warms up to operating temperature. When it is warming up sounds completely normal and healthy but when it’s warm it starts being noisy. Sounds like it’s coming from my number 8 injector. But not sure. I’ve been told it could be a rod or piston but they weren’t mechanics and it doesn’t sound loud and clangy enough to be that. Any ideas?
