Wonder how that looks with both engines at 3800 RPMs on a torque curve graph? Seems the 7.3L is not offering much. anyone know what the price difference is. Early in the year, pre numbers announcement, I figured $1500-$2000 IIRC. NOW, I'd be surprised if it was $500 difference. Not sure you'd notice much difference between the 6.2L and 7.3l with a load.
The price has been out for awhile in the order guide posted in another thread.

25hp and 115 lbs combined with the new tranny.............I'd be interested in test driving one. Hooked to my trailer would be nice.

Not only an increase, but a monster sized increase!

1050 lbs of torque at 1,600?
3:31 gears are the choice for me.
DITTOS on that!!

For the people asking “what is enough power” and “are we not already there”. I obviously can’t speak for everyone but for me until I can maintain 70mph on a 7% grade (max for a federal highway) at max weight, it’s not enough. This means 70 mph at GCWR for the f450.

GCWR? As in Gross Combined Weight Rating? The only way to reach the GCWR is to tow a trailer, right? Otherwise, wouldn't one be limited by the truck's GVWR?

So if it is established with reasonable certainty that a trailer would have to be involved in order to load the F-450 to the max GCWR, and if "max for a federal highway" indicates a concern to remain within lawfully permitted speeds, why must the F-450 maintain 70 mph, when the maximum speed TOWING is 55 mph in your state?

The power difference required to pull 70 mph, vs 55 mph, especially up a 7% grade, is huge. If abiding by law is an operative requirement, why set a standard that exceeds that requirement by such a large margin?

Give me a diesel truck that makes good power and is dead Reliable and I don't have to worry when warranty is up. Then I might buy one. Make it so there are no stupid water leaks. Give me good headlights without have to pay 60k. Line up the cab and bed for Pete's sake. It is almost 2020 ya know. Fords fit and finish is lacking a bit in my 2017. But I'll take it over the other offerings out there. Smh.

One thing to remember with the 7.3 is it is slightly cheaper in the 350 ($1700) as the 10 speed is already baked into 350 price since 6 speed is not available. With the 250 you pay for the 10 speed along with 7.3 for $2045.

The 19’s are 935 lbs so 1050 would put it at an increase of 115

Interesting way to look at it... I’d like to see that.

My only qualm with all this power is they manage it down so you can’t use it. Well I cant. I’m in the flat land and goose neck tow around town mainly and no more (rarely much more) than the 14,700 my F250 is rated at.

Lol, I stand corrected. I didn't check my math before posting.

2017 6.7L MSRP was $8795. 2020 6.7L $10,495 a 20% increase in price for torque 98% will not use and a new 10 speed transmission with growing pains as we know FORD has QC issues. If you can get a smoking deal on a 2019 and save $5-7k over a 2020 I would do it in a heartbeat.....
