I have been trying to find a reasonable source to spray the pad for my house before I pour the concrete and have found that these guys want anywhere from $600 to $750 just for a one-time spray application over 3340 sq ft.
Do any of you know of a product that I can apply myself and that I can buy without a license that would last up to 12 to 15 years?
Some of these guys say that usually they spray the termiticide that lasts from 5 to 10 years and that's all that's called for (Texas Real Estate ruling) on a new home.
I am putting up a steel frame house, but will have 2x6 stud outer walls and 2x4 stud inner walls and need some kind of protection.
Hrm... I havent really seen any Do it yourself stuff like that.
Good luck on finding something.
Have you done a websearch for this, or just local stores?
also, whats up w/ Big Orn posting bump alot?
Thanks Andy - I have done quite a bit of research on the web and here at home. I have contacted some suppliers that have the usual "permethrin" (sp) but it aonly lasts about 5 to 6 years. I am not real sure they make anything that lasts longer that we, the unlicensed, can buy OTC. I am going down tomorrow and take a look at some of the termite killer that the Farm Supplys (Tractor Supply) has to offer.
