We have an 06 F-450 dually in our Vol Fire Dept. that has the 6.0. Truck is a utility vehicle that hardly ever gets driven. Only has about 60K miles I believe. I'm sure its still bone stock. Matter a fact we just had the EGR cooler replaced. This thing is cold natured as crap. When I say that I mean if it's below 55 and you don't use the block heater it won't hardly get out of it's own way. First time I ever drove it was a cold morning and I fired it up and threw her in gear. Hit the highway but couldn't get past maybe 20 MPH until it warmed up.
Any ideas what would cause that issue? It starts fine just has no power until it warms up a little.
Sure sounds like the injector stiction problem to me. I had similar problems and switch to 5W-40 diesel oil and added Archoil 9100. Since then it's 100 percent better. I still let it warm up for a while before hitting the highway but it made a huge difference for me.

Same here. #5 was sticking when cold which created sluggishness until warm. Added hot shots and doing better. I would check for DTCs and do a buzz test to confirm. If all the injectors are clicking when cold you will have to look elsewhere. Possibly a sticking turbo, which oil additives may help, or you may have to recondition.
