Door lock/unlock relay (2000 Ford F-350)
My 200 Ford F-350 7.3 Lt. Diesel door locks (keyless remote entry system) work intermittently. Not all work together, especially the right-rear door.
I've been told it is the door lock/unlock relay.
I need to know where to locate this relay, and if this is the probable cause of the problem.
Thanks!

Door lock/unlock relays for F-350
I checked with the Ford service manager, and he and his mechanics did not know and the computer didn't say. The best they could tell me that there would be a cluster of them, independent from the main fuses and relays, and would probably be under the dash.
I had my son press on the door lock/unlock switch repeatedly while I followed the clicking of the relays. Finally, I located the cluster of 4 deep inside the dash, just behind and slightly under the radio, against the firewall. The only way I could get to them was to remove a strange-looking access port (looks like it was made to hold a bag or something) that is located just under the drink-holder on the dash. Then, with some twisting and turning, I was able to get my arm back there. I had to remove the plastic cover (a small clip on each end), and was able to feel the clicking of the relays. I had to replace all four (3 large, 1 small), but the locks seem to be working now.
Hope this is helpful!

try the lock actuators...they are trash and the originals are known for going out. some go one at a time some all at once...I have one I have been meaning to replace for a while and haven't done so yet. you might want to try reading some of these and maybe this .
hope these help. I've read several people saying that it takes anywhere from $30-$50 to change out each one and anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to change. good luck and let us know how it goes.

I had the same problem and I put in new lock actuators and left the old ones in also. look on EBAY for door lock actuators I got them for about $3 or $4 each and installed them inline with the orginals it is easy to do just hard for me too explain but they come with directions. They work great!!
Hope this helps.

KLN,
did the actuator replacement work for your problem? I've got a similar problem that just started developing on my 2000 F-250 Lariat SuperCab 7.3 Lt Diesel. The driver side door is still working O.K., but none of the other doors will unlock with the keyless entry. I get minimal movement from the door locks when trying to open with the keyless entry. It sounds like something (actuator?) is really struggling with getting a voltage signal initially and if I continue to try and open with the keypad, the struggling noise gets quieter and quieter until there is no noise or movement at all. At this point, the driver door won't even respond. Basically, I get one push of the keyless pad to open driver door and then that's about it. If I wait 10 - 20 seconds, I can then get the door to lock. Same thing if I try to use manual unlock/lock button inside truck. Before I start ripping things apart, was hoping for some clues. The wife and kids are about ready to destroy the truck to unlock things manually. Any info. would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
