Please help
'07 Ranger
Ok so we've replaced the engine and got everything back together. When you try to crank it the security light blinks like crazy. Lights, etc work but truck won't turn over or anything. What should we do next?

You might want to try posting in the Ranger section -- I think that it's still there. Usually in a specific section the folks are more familiar with a particular vehicle. Is there any chance that something needs to be reprogrammed? Seems to be a major issue these days. There are all kinds of little computers that need to have matching information. If the engine came with a new computer it might not show the right information. .
But I'm just guessing -- good luck with your problem.

the moving from park to drive and back to Park often resets the security... IF none of the electronics were changed when the engine was swapped.. I assume the reason was due to the battery being disconnected
I figured since no reply it was fixed
