Removing a motor

Can someone give me a ballpark estimate on how much to pull a motor so it can get blasted and painted and then putting it back it? I neither have the skills or tools to do something like this.

Pulling an engine to clean and paint it is not advisable.

Find some detail guy for a used car lot. They steam clean greaseball used cars and rattle can rebuild them all the time.

Or you can diy with gunk or other fine brand engine cleaner. Just put down some tarps or you will be stepping in it for years.

My WAG for R&R would be something like 10 hours at your local rate, $90 to $150 per hour.

Sorry, I totally mis-spoke. I'm wanting to remove the motor to blast the engine bay, not the motor itself. Sorry for the confusion, but I think it will be way out of my budget.

My mechanic said he would do it for around $300. The other mechanic said it would be just under $1k. This is to remove and re-install. I'm thinking I'll probably not go through with it because I'm spending too much on it as it is.
