I recently purchased a 2003 F250 a 4x4 Lariat crew cab and the outside of the truck is great but the under side is a mess. I need to replace rusted inner rockers and cab floor supports they are gone!!! Can I replace the inners from underneath or do I have to cut my outers off to do so? I need help. My cab floor supports have to be done as well any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
The inners can be removed and replaced without touching the outer panels. The floor supports are available aftermarket and only come as a 3' section from the inner rocker ( the support with the big square cutouts) to somewhere around the frame under the cab. I typically just cut off the bad support and overlay it on the far side by the frame.
Thanks for the help any other help is greatly appreciated. I have the inner rockers and the cab supports are coming tomorrow. I was thinking the over lay as well. Thanks for the input.
Thanks Stoney998 I need the crossmember ends for mine. Didn't realize Raybuck sells them. I just got rear door panels from Raybuck a few weeks ago for my xtracab.
No problem, happy to help. A bit of advice while changing the support. Remove the seat bolts and drill the spot welds for the support, remove it. Bolt the new support to the seat and adjust as needed then weld it. Holds the support and takes away any guess work while fitting. Good luck!
