No issue with the ARE, but I bought that new in 2000. No issues with the 2 Century caps I’ve had. I believe they are part of Leer. I bought those brands because the looks are what I liked but more importantly they were very local to where I live(d). If I had issues I could get them addressed without driving any distance. Didn’t see anything significantly different between all the fiberglass caps I researched so stay local.
Here is my 2020 f250 truck with an ARE cap with the back door. Has the rear camera above the door.
I have that same cap on my ‘06 Duty and it leaks like a sieve around the windows and around the lift gate, and if the lift gate is up when it’s raining, it pours water into the bed of the truck.
the dealer said they can install new window seals, which should help that. But, the back 2’ of the bed angles about 1” toward the center of the bed and the cap is straight, so the lift gate does not seal tightly against the aluminum track.
Has anyone else had these problems, and what did you do to fix them?
I put a new P seal around the lift door and on the windows I retighten all the screws. I don’t open the lift door during a rain unless I have to.

Where do you get your P seal?
I try to not open the big rear door when it rains, but winter steelhead and springer salmon fishing here in Oregon are synonymous with rain. High water drives the fish to the banks of the rivers so you don't have to cast as far.
Do any of you know the height of the door opening from the bed to the top of the door? I want to get a topper and I’d like to be able to put my snowblower in the bed occasionally for transport of possible. I’m not sure if I would need a cab high, mid or high.

For this style of cap Leer 100r... 40" at the frame edge hanging down.

Thank you for the measurement and picture. It looks like there is probably another 3”-4” from the door frame to the ceiling. The printed specs say 45.9” high for the snowblower. I need to measure it though and see because I’m assuming that’s with the chute all the way up which can be lowered.

I measured the inside height of 44.5 " from top of bed rib to bottom of inside cap.
Picked up the topper Saturday morning and assembled it yesterday. Went together pretty easily. Instructions said to seal once done, however I used Ultra Black RTV silicone on all the seams as I was putting it together to ensure no leaks and permanent assembly. It fits the truck well, and follows the body lines really well. The hold-downs aren't 100%, so I'll pickup some proper topper clamps. Aside from that, it should work well. I'll build my ladder/roof rack later on.
