Bed value

Hey guys,

Just picked up a 67-72 bed along with some other stuff for my OBSs. I am not a bump side guy(or at least I dont have any)
Anyway. What is a 8' bed worth?

ZERO rot, just some light "patina" as some guys call it, I call it surface rust.
It came from Nevada so it is a nice dry hot climate. But now the bed is in North East PA, aka the land of rotten trucks.
It is NOT perfect. It has dents, cracks and 40+ Years of truck use. It also has holes for aftermarket fuel tanks.
The last really nice bed i saw of this era sold for $2500.
I am realistic and this bed is NOT perfect, or close but it is Rot free. So what do you guys think?

$600-$800.

FWIW i paid $250 for an 8' rust free one with a mint floor. But I'm out here in the midwest, not salt land

What part of the nation are you in? What color is it? The right color might help sell it. I have had guys try to buy the bed off of my truck even though it junk because it was the right color.

I'm in the North East and I paid $500.00 for one. It wasn't rust free, but repairable.

It might be worth $50 in scrap, maybe. So I guess the extra $500 or so isn't worth the hassle eh?
