Mine use to reach around 1,200°F on occasion until the "emissions" update Ford released in either 2013 or 2014 (I can't remember specifically). It was that update that changed the shutdown behavior when any one of 4 EGT sensors failed. This update decreased MPG by 1 per tank on my truck and AR temps were 100°F cooler.
I am running the update post EGT4 shutdown. But no other updates since. I did that one since it was for free .

I am in the process of ordering a single pod a pillar too. Color is a problem. Guess I will have to paint with the tan or whatever color it is for the interior. Get is as close as possible.

I do some unloaded driving so I can record that just running down the hwy to the trailer yard. Then with the trailer flat level and then when I am really working it.

Will be interesting. Yesterday, start off at 35% then down to zero within a few miles. Stays at zero unless in town or just low speed maneuvers.

What the idash would read vs what I know will be interesting, maybe I will end up crying in my milk.

Since I thought I was at the cusp of one, I told the crew I was taking a quick drive and off I went. It climbed up to 107 then when on the expressway and EGT4 got in to the 500s and up, it came back down all the way to 102%. It became apparent to me it wasn't regening, I got off and headed back to work. It was at up to 109 when I parked back at work. With the ending mileage, I was probably about 410 miles or so since the last regen. This has been a learning experience being about to watch the EGTs and the soot load % at the same time. Apparently it doesn't regen automatically at 100% or at least my truck does not. The Dash Mileage was still at 14.6 mpg when I got off the expressway in the city.
I've seen my soot percentage get up to 110% in Torque Pro without a regen even though the DPF screen is below 100%. I can tell you once the DPF screen hits 100% it will regen within a minute.

My guess is you are really close to a regen probably 95% on the DPF screen if you had it enabled. I bet you regen in the next 35 miles.

Thanks for that tidbit. I'm gonna bite the bullet and buy an OBD2 adapter and enable the screen. I want to see the difference between the two. Thanks dirt.

Thanks kper. Yes I've seen those and they look high quality. Everyone here raves about them. I think I'm just gonna buy the plug in adapter with the switch for my lap top. I won't need it other wise since i use the iDash.

On my last two trips to Colorado I have gotten over 650 miles before a regen. I was towing around 12k the first trip and around 10k the second. About the time I took the trailer off at my destination it started a regen. We drove about 100 miles around the area before heading back home. On the way home pulling a '79 Chevy on my 24' Aluma trailer, so only around 6500 lbs I had a regen.

I am not sure if it's the weight that I am pulling or the fact that I am using Better Diesel FBC. On my '15 PSD pulling two Polaris RZR's this truck would regen at right at 500 miles whether it needed it or not.

I had a regen tonight. Very interesting... I will post specifics tomorrow. Let's just say I went way over 110% and finished at zero. More tomorrow...

I forget, do you run any of the fuel burn Catalysts such as Better Diesel FBC?

I have been running K100 since basically new. But I didn't nor don't run Enerburn or FBC. From what I'm seeing in passive regening, I believe K100 may be helping in some regard. Apparently there is something in it for the DPF.

I left the house last night and the soot PID was at 110%. I forgot what it got to when I reached my destination. But when I left, it climbed up to 127 then went into a regen at 48,625 miles. It climbed up to 128 then as she heated up, went to 19.7 when it shut off at 48,642.5 miles for a 17.5 mile REGEN.

The majority of the regen was done on the expressway I take to work so I was running up hills at 65 mph. I stayed on the expressway and she continued to passive regen as it stayed in the 1100s for awhile. It went to 0.0 at 48,654 miles. Got off the expressway and it was still at 0 at 48661.4. I then went home and it climbed to 2.2% and 48,678.5 miles.

I'd say I have a healthy DPF. My driving suits the emissions system as I don't do a ton of stop and go driving. Yes there are times but as a whole, the expressway keeps it good I think.

I'm really curious to see what the 3rd screen would say. Soon I'll have it enabled but for now, at least I'm getting to know my truck's patterns.

I bought a cheap chinese bluetooth obd2 adapter on amazon and it's done everything I've ever asked of it without issue. These tasks include running a buzz test in real time on my 6.0, checking injector trims on my 6.7, enabling the dpf % screen on the 6.7, and enabling a parked regen on the 6.7, all without issue.

So what am I missing. This cheapy has done everything i've asked of it, but it seems people here suggest a more expensive option as the cheaper ones don't do these tasks.

Here's the device I bought.

I've noticed the same, I drive about 25 miles a day on the expressways and another 15-20 stop and go on city streets and my DPF appears happy like yours.

How many miles did you get between your last regens?

Im currently at 486 miles since last regen, DPF screen is at 90% and soot pid is showing 83.5%. From my experience I will regen before the DPF is full due to the 500 mile limitation. I'll find out on ther drive back to the house this afternoon.

It was about 460 miles since last regen. I never transcribed my notes from my left palm to my notebook. So I estimated it... I usually get at least 450 miles, give or take.

I have a 2015 with 64,000 miles. Did a regen today and only dropped to 40%. Why don't they go to 0%? This is my first 6.7 so not sure on regens. Thanks.

The regen will stop if you cut the truck off or if it goes below about 35-40mph after completing a significant portion of regen. If I was in traffic, mine would normally stop around 35%. Some trucks go to 0%, some only go to 15, 25 or 35%. Mine never went below 25%.

When your DPF is nearing the end of life, the regen will be less and less effective also. I'd give it a few more rounds to see how your truck behaves.
